When a family member or friend is sent to jail or prison it can be a stressful and confusing experience for their loved ones. As a non-profit community outreach organization, the Utah Prisoner Advocate Network aims to bridge the divide between the Utah Department of Corrections and inmate families by using our collective experiences to connect to resources, educate the public, and provide a safe forum for the exchange of ideas by others in the same situation. Through this experience, we’ve identified areas that most inmate families will face at some point during their loved ones’ incarceration period. We are continually adding new helpful information to this section in order to hopefully educate the public and to point people in the right direction in terms of getting their questions and concerns addressed.
