Faith in Law Enforcement Reform

June 13, 2015 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm MDT

Free

Many of our guests at this January’s “Faith In Reform” event at Salt Lake Community College expressed a concern about law enforcement’s role in making the problems in our criminal justice system worse. Several innocent people have been hurt or killed by police officers since our January gathering – in Utah, and across the country. Excessive force and police brutality remain very serious issues, and they will not be resolved without strong involvement from the communities that are most impacted. We want to share with you this invitation to attend a community gathering to discuss “Civilian Review Boards” and how they can be used to increase police accountability.

Sponsored by: ACLU of Utah, Calvary Baptist Church, Catholic Diocese of Salt Lake City, Journey of Hope, and UPAN
